Explained

Division 1

  • Graduate high school
  • Earn a core course GPA of 2.3 or higher (77-79%)
  • Complete 16 core courses
  • 4 English courses 
  • 3 math courses (Algebra 1 or higher)
  • 2 natural/physical science courses
  • 1 course must be lab science based on school accommodations 
  • 1 additional English, math or natural/physical science course
  • 2 social science courses 
  • 4 additional English, math, natural/physical science, social science, foreign language, comparative religion or philosophy courses
  • You must complete 10 of the core courses by the end of your junior year (grade 11) Seven of the 10 core courses need to be in English, math or natural/physical science. The grades in these seven courses will be permanent and you will not be able to change them.


Division 2 

  • Graduate high school
  • Earn a core course GPA of 2.2 of higher (77%)
  • Complete 16 core courses
  • 3 English courses 
  • 2 math courses (Algebra 1 or higher)
  • 2 natural/physical science courses 
  • 1 course must be lab science based on school accommodations
  • 3 additional English, math or natural/physical science courses 
  • 2 social science courses 
  • 4 additional English, math, natural/physical science, social science, foreign language, comparative religion or philosophy courses

  • Each division 3 school follows their own guidelines for eligibility purposes.
